Hi, we decided to visit the Britannia inn today, on a Friday evening by chance of driving past on our way to visit Fowey, we saw the lovely garden & bouncy castle up so perfect for kids! & wow what an amazing choice ! The place is very clean! & in particular we must comment on how amazing our food was! & probably the best evening & food we’ve ever had in Cornwall! Was that good!! & was also very quick & friendly service! Compliments to everyone! You should be very proud!!
Used to use this pub many years ago when we would go with kids after school so they could use the play area and we had a swift half. Glad to see now our kids have kids of there own the Brit is still as good as it used to be. Excellent food highly recommend
Booked in for dinner, had a lovely meal (chicken curry and pie of the day). Reasonably priced. Attentive and friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much h we booked in another night before we left. Had Quiche and fish and chips, didn't disappoint.
We had a great experience at the Britannia near St Austell. The food was lovely, with generous portions and plenty to enjoy. Everything was fresh, well cooked, and very satisfying. The staff were extremely attentive, polite, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Service was excellent overall, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do, which really shows. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be returning.

Really nice pub. Traditional but modern. The food was really good, slightly expensive but definitely worth it. It had a really nice atmosphere and we felt very welcome. The play park in the garden is a welcomed sight. The loaded chips were amazing 100% having again..
Called in for lunch without a booking, warmly welcomed and found us a table without any issues. The service was fast and efficient both on ordering and getting our meals. The food was excellent, served hot and clearly quality produce, we had the battered cod and it was very good.
Great food and very friendly staff. I stayed overnight in their campervan parkup area which is free if your eating or drinking! Great services for campers too. Huge outdoor beer garden and covered terrace. Definitely worth a visit if your passing through, ill be dropping in again if im ever passing this way in the future!
